Baby Penn--3 Months!

Meet little Miss Penn (Penelope) !  (I am so in love with both her name and her giant, blue eyes...)  As you know...I also love a sleepy baby and much to my cameras' chagrin--there is something about our presence that no matter how hard we try--even the new, newborns become wide-eyed.  So needless to say--when Penn's sweet mommy and me were able to collaborate and set our session for the time we thought she would most likely nap and baby girl was wide awake--we were not surprised!!!  Good news though--my sleepy baby dreams were answered...after 3o minutes of shooting...night, night Miss Penn.  (and low-and-behold...her sleeping shot may just be my new favorite!)  And since Penn's mommy decided to be a part of our 'Welcome Baby' program...I am so happy to say I get the honor of documenting Penn's entire first year!!  I can not wait to see the sweet little girl she becomes this year.  (PS:  Big thanks to Krista Wainscott for introducing Paige to my work)

Night, Night sweet baby.

Spicer Kiddos

While in OH I had a small amount of time to visit with my good friend Melanie and her kiddos.  We let them just enjoy a bit  of time out in yard and hoped for a holiday card shot as an outcome.  They ran and jumped and Miss Sydney did everything in her power to avoid the camera--but when we caught her...what eyes!  The last shot is dear to me based on both the fun they were having and the fantasic OSU ensembles:-)   --Thanks Mel and we will look forward to seeing  you and finally having dinner at Michael Simon's place at Christmas.

Springfield Dairy Barn is Beautiful! (and so is the Holifield Family)

If you have never seen the 'Springfield Dairy Barn' in Fort Mill, SC (I had not) it is gorgeous!  Lots of horses out for a stroll, beautiful old buildings, winding pathways and just a hint of fog/mist in the AM.  I was lucky enough to spend a few hours with the Holifield Fmaily who had recenlty moved to Ft. Mill from TX--and though MICHIGAN fans (I will not remind them of the score that played out later that day:-) They were such a joy to meet.  Their eldest had such a little mind of her own (as seen in several shots where she wants to be off on her own) and baby girl--a hilarious 'crinkley' smile when giggling.  Thank you so much Holifield's!  Hope to see you again at baby girls 1-year mark!

The Beautiful Bissondial Family!

What a beautiful weekend for a day in Freedom park with the Bissondial Family!  Little Coleton gave us tons and tons of great expressions and made me laugh out loud when chewing on both a park bench and daddy's flip-flop. (teething makes for great photo opps!:-) --Same goes for his big, blue eyes!  Thank you so much Bissoondial's--I really enjoyed being able to capture these shots with you!

Welcome to the world Baby Cael!

Our charming and beautiful friends brought us yet another bouncing baby boy last week (this little guy makes 3 for the Roberts household!)  I dropped by to visit baby Cael on his 4th day in the world.  Sleepy newborn?  Not in front of my camera!  Mommy and Daddy said this was the most alert he had been--I am thinking it is me as I can just never seem to get shots of a sleeping newborn!  Ha.  (okay--so I did at least get 1 with his eyes closed)

Welcome to the world Baby Cael...we have been waiting for you!  XOXO

Sneak peek-- Sweet Caroline

Daylight savings left us little time to shoot (and Miss Caroline wanted nothing more than to practice her mad rolling skills:-)   But oh my goodness--look at these eyes!  More to come soon...
